Stardeck Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Stardeck (“Stardeck”, “we”, “us”), an unofficial fan-made tool for organizing Star Citizen ship and upgrade data, accessible at stardeck.space and via the Stardeck browser extension. Stardeck is operated by Polypixel.

By creating an account, donating, or using any part of Stardeck, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Stardeck.

Stardeck is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cloud Imperium Games, Roberts Space Industries, Turbulent, or any related entity. Star Citizen and Squadron 42 are trademarks of their respective owners.

1. Definitions

  • User: you, the individual using Stardeck.
  • Service: the Stardeck website, web application, browser extension, and any associated features.
  • Content: any data displayed by Stardeck, including ship listings, prices, chain plans, and user-generated names or descriptions.
  • CIG: Cloud Imperium Games, the developer and publisher of Star Citizen and the legal owner of related intellectual property.
  • RSI:Roberts Space Industries, the in-fiction publisher and the public-facing brand for Cloud Imperium's website, store, and player accounts at robertsspaceindustries.com.
  • Donator Tier:a paid tier (currently “Navigator” or “Trader”) unlocking Stardeck-side application features in exchange for a recurring donation.

2. No liability for actions affecting your RSI account

Stardeck reads publicly available data from the RSI store and, with your authorization, data visible in your own browser session on the RSI website. We do not control CIG, do not enforce or interpret CIG's Terms of Service or End User License Agreement on your behalf, and have no insight into CIG's account moderation decisions. You accept all risk related to your RSI account(s), including the possibility that CIG may, in its sole discretion, restrict, suspend, or terminate your account based on your activity, your use of third-party tools, or any other factor. Stardeck has no liability for any such action.

3. We do not store your RSI credentials

The Stardeck browser extension reads data from your existing, authenticated browser session on the RSI website. It does not ask for, capture, transmit, or store your RSI username, password, two-factor codes, or session tokens. We have no mechanism to log into your RSI account on your behalf and never will.

4. No liability for trades

Stardeck displays marketplace information sourced from third-party platforms (such as Reddit marketplaces) and provides tools for organizing your own upgrade plans. Stardeck does not facilitate, mediate, escrow, broker, or guarantee any transaction between users or between users and third parties. Any trade you choose to enter into happens entirely on the third-party platform, subject to that platform's rules. Stardeck has no liability for any loss, dispute, fraud, or misrepresentation arising from any such transaction.

5. Data accuracy disclaimer

Pricing, ship availability, upgrade rules, and other CIG-derived information shown by Stardeck are collected automatically from public RSI store sources or from your authorized browser session and are provided “as-is”. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, freshness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Before purchasing anything from RSI based on Stardeck data, verify the details on the RSI website directly. Stardeck has no liability for purchases made based on inaccurate or stale data.

6. Grey market risk

Some marketplace activity surfaced by Stardeck (for example, third-party sales of pledges and upgrades on Reddit and elsewhere) may violate CIG's Terms of Service. Stardeck is an information tool, not a trading platform.By using Stardeck's marketplace and chain features, you acknowledge that engaging in grey market activity carries risk to your RSI account and that you do so entirely at your own risk.

7. Multi-account features

Stardeck's warehouse and multi-account features help you organize information across RSI accounts that you already control. Stardeck does not encourage operating accounts in violation of CIG's Terms of Service. Whether and how you may legitimately use multiple RSI accounts is governed by CIG's rules, not Stardeck's.

8. Donations and Donator Tiers

Stardeck is free to use at every tier. Donator Tiers (“Navigator” and “Trader”) are voluntary recurring contributions, processed via Stripe, that fund Stardeck's hosting and development.

  • Donator Tier perks are Stardeck-side application features (such as pinning specific upgrades to specific chains). They are not, and are not intended to be, access to any CIG content. All CIG-derived data on Stardeck remains accessible at every tier, including Free.
  • Donations are voluntary and recurring (monthly or annual at your election). You may cancel future contributions at any time via the Stripe-hosted self-service portal accessible from Stardeck's “Manage support” link.
  • Contributions already paid for the current billing period are non-refundable except where required by law. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Donator Tier access through that period.
  • Stardeck may change Donator Tier pricing or perks with reasonable notice. Existing contributors' pricing for the current billing period will not change retroactively.

9. Data retention and your rights

What Stardeck stores about you, how long, and how you may exercise your rights to access, correct, or delete your data is described in our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stardeck, its operators, and its contributors from any claim, loss, damage, liability, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your use of RSI services in connection with the Service, your participation in grey market trading, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Copyright complaints

Stardeck respects copyright. If you believe content on Stardeck infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with the following:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
  • identification of the material on Stardeck that you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it;
  • your contact information (address, telephone, email);
  • a statement, made in good faith, that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Stardeck's policy is to review valid notices, remove material that we determine is infringing, and terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe. We may, at our discretion, share notices we receive with the user whose content is the subject of the notice so they can respond.

12. Feedback

If you send Stardeck ideas, suggestions, bug reports, feature requests, or any other feedback about the Service, we may use that feedback to improve Stardeck without owing you any compensation, attribution, or confidentiality. You retain whatever rights you had in the underlying ideas; this clause only confirms that sharing them with us does not create an obligation on our side.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that the parties cannot resolve informally must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hawaii, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Changes to these Terms

Stardeck may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email to active users, or by a prominent notice on the site). Your continued use of Stardeck after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
