Stardeck Acceptable Use Policy
1. Stardeck is an unofficial fan tool
This is an unofficial Star Citizen fan site, not affiliated with the Cloud Imperium group of companies. All content on this site not authored by its host or users are property of their respective owners.
Cloud Imperium Games (“CIG”), Roberts Space Industries (“RSI”), Turbulent, and Squadron 42 are trademarks of their respective owners. Star Citizen ship art, ship names, and pricing are the intellectual property of CIG. Stardeck displays and organizes this information as a fan tool; we do not own, license, or grant access to any of it.
Imagery on Stardeck that includes CIG ship renders carries the “Made by the Community” attribution mark per CIG's published Fan Kit guidance.
2. No endorsement implied
Using Stardeck does not imply that CIG has approved, reviewed, endorsed, licensed, or otherwise blessed Stardeck. They have not. Stardeck is built and operated by Star Citizen players for Star Citizen players.
3. Your responsibility for CIG's rules
You are bound by CIG's Terms of Service and End User License Agreement when you use the RSI website, store, or game services. Stardeck is a third-party tool. Whether your use of Stardeck (including the browser extension that reads your own RSI hangar from your authenticated browser session, or grey-market activity tracked through Stardeck's features) is consistent with CIG's rules in your jurisdiction is your responsibility to determine and your risk to bear.
CIG's published EULA prohibits the use of programs not expressly approved by CIG, and explicitly prohibits “bots”, “spiders”, and “scrapers” against the RSI services. Stardeck's position is that:
- The browser extension does not interact with the RSI website on your behalf; it reads pages your own browser is already loading at your direction, parses the visible data, and forwards the result to your Stardeck account. We believe this is meaningfully different from automated scraping, but we cannot guarantee how CIG will characterize it.
- The Stardeck server-side public-store fetcher polls publicly visible RSI store pages on a moderate schedule. We have no business relationship with CIG, no API key, and no formal status as an approved tool.
- We cannot promise that CIG will not, at some point, take a different view of either of these activities. If CIG asks us to change how Stardeck operates, we will engage in good faith.
If protecting your RSI account against any possibility of CIG taking action is a higher priority for you than using Stardeck's features, do not use Stardeck.
4. Multi-account features
Stardeck's warehouse and multi-account organization features help you keep information about RSI accounts you already control in one place. Stardeck does not encourage operating accounts in violation of CIG's Terms of Service. Whether and how you may legitimately use multiple RSI accounts is governed by CIG's rules, not Stardeck's.
5. Don't scrape, abuse, or attack Stardeck
You may not, and may not attempt to:
- Run bots, crawlers, or scrapers against Stardeck without prior written agreement.
- Bypass, disable, or interfere with rate limits, authentication, or other access controls.
- Use Stardeck's extension or APIs to harvest data on a scale or pattern inconsistent with normal individual use of the Service.
- Probe, scan, or test Stardeck's infrastructure for vulnerabilities except via an approved security research process.
- Reverse-engineer Stardeck for the purpose of cloning, white-labeling, or operating a competing service that is not separately permitted.
6. No abuse or unlawful content
You may not use any user-generated surface in Stardeck (such as chain names, descriptions, or shared chain views) to harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate any person, to distribute illegal content, or to violate anyone's rights. We may remove user-generated content that violates this rule and may suspend or terminate accounts associated with serious or repeated violations.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Stardeck if you violate these rules, our Terms of Service, or applicable law. Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund of any Donator Tier contributions you have already made. Cancellation of a Donator Tier you initiate yourself is governed by the Terms of Service.
8. Linking and embedding
Stardeck links to third-party websites (including the RSI store, Reddit, and others) so you can act on information you see in Stardeck. These links are provided for your convenience. Stardeck does not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or trustworthiness of any third-party site. Following an outbound link is at your own risk.
You may link to Stardeck pages using their public URLs. You may not frame Stardeck pages inside another site, mirror Stardeck content on another domain, or otherwise present Stardeck as if it were part of your own service.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated by email to active users or by prominent notice on the site.
